Description
Although this awesome little 1960s Danish table was originally designed for a home telephone, its stylish looks and smaller size make it perfect as a hallway console or living room side table!
A teak veneered carcass with lipped top houses two beautifully dovetail-jointed drawers and a removable shelf, and is raised on unusual Bauhaus-esque chrome legs.
The few examples I can find of this oddball design are attributed to Danish designer, Heinrich Roepstorff, I think due to those distinctive chrome legs. While I can’t find any definitive evidence of this, it is a beautifully made piece of furniture and is surprisingly solid and weighty! It also has a veneered back, which is another indication of quality.
This Bauhaus meets Danish Modern mashup comes in excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of use.
