SKU: danish-mid-century-teak-drinks-cabinet-johannes-sorth-for-bornholm-mobelfabrik Category:

This extraordinary example of 1960s Danish cabinet making was produced by Bornholm Møbelfabrik and designed by owner and head designer, Johannes Sorth.
The lockable door (complete with key) opens to reveal 5 removable and adjustable shelves, meaning this pedestal cabinet could be used for drinks, storage or pretty much anything you can think of.
Expertly made with subtle exposed joinery details to its raised edges and an inverted section at the base of the rear allowing it to fit over a skirting board moulding with the cabinet’s back flush against the wall, it stands like a Victory Column to all things teak!
Its beautifully curved form and high quality veneers make it one of one of the finest pieces of furniture I’ve owned…it really is one for the teak purest.
This rare cabinet comes in excellent clean vintage condition with minimal signs of age and complete with original label and model / run number ‘205 15’ stamped on its reverse.
