Description
A super set of 1950s Danish low drawers, produced by Aksel Kjersgaard.
A teak veneered carcass with three dovetail-jointed drawers, raised on angled legs which are seamlessly joined within the body of the carcass.
These ‘No. 34’ drawers are often attributed to Kai Kristiansen, and although he did design for the company (most notably the now iconic ‘Entre’ series), I can’t find conclusive evidence that this was one of his designs, and it’s more likely the work of Kjersgaard himself.
Regardless, it’s a beautifully elegant piece of furniture from a top Danish maker and comes in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age, and is complete with both the manufacture’s and Danish Furniture Control stamps on its reverse!
