These sculptural early 20th Century bookshelves… in solid oak!
The word ‘unique’ is often misused but it may well apply here… these beauties were likely scratch-built in someone’s shed as a home project, and are still standing tall nearly 100 years later.
Four oak shelves are suspended on vertical slats of varying lengths resulting in this awesome, modernist form.
Thoroughly cleaned and oiled to bring out the woodgrain, they come in good solid condition with a few marks and minor historical wear… but gosh, what a thing!
