An intricately carved 19th Century European wall mirror.
The heavy, ebonised hardwood frame is highlighted by contrasting parallel bands, and skilfully carved with the classic Black Forest theme of grapes and vines.
The unknown artist has depicted each leaf in great detail, showing their veins and structure whilst cleverly capturing organic movement within their undulating form.
This beautiful piece of antique folk art comes in good vintage condition with minor signs of age to the frame and bevelled mirror glass.
