Fine Danish Wall Mirror, Kai Kristiansen for Aksel Kjersgaard, 1960s

The fairest of them all?
Well this ultra fine Kai Kristiansen mirror is certainly one of my all time favourite mirror designs, with those beautiful exposed joinery details to each corner.
Kai Kristiansen is one of the most respected names in 20th Century Scandinavian design, collaborating with some of the the top furniture makers of the day, including Fritz Hansen.
This Model 163K stunner was produced in Denmark during the 1960s by high-end furniture producer, Aksel Kjersgaard, and features a generous and beautifully sculpted teak frame.

I have one of these mirrors hanging in my own hallway but mine has some wear and repair… this example, however, comes in excellent vintage condition with a scratch-free mirror plate and virtually no wear to that iridescent teak frame!
