Description
Oh yes… I have another of these magnificent 1930s stools by British firm, Alpax.
Constructed from gleaming bent chrome with a die-cast aluminium seat topped with a cork seat pad, the three-pronged legs splay gently outwards then curve back underneath to be connected by a central chrome disk, giving the stool an awesome, modernist look.
This one comes in excellent vintage condition with no corrosion to the metal parts, an immaculate cork seat, and complete with its original rubber feet… you won’t find a better example.
One of my all time favourite 20th Century designs, and still looking ultra modern nearly 100 years after it was made!
H41cm x W42cm (seat circumference 30cm)
