Description
The word ‘stunning’ is perhaps a little overused in antiques, but I reckon it may just apply to this brilliantly designed 1960s drinks cabinet!
Produced in Norway during the 1960s by Mobelfabrikken Sola, Its unusual triangular shape is designed to stand in the corner of a room like an unassuming bookcase… but with the turn of a key it transforms into a glamorous cocktail cabinet!
A high quality Rosewood carcass stands on three shapely legs, and houses a revolving, lockable interior with a two-tier bookcase on one side and a mirrored drinks compartment on the other.
A wine glass rack and glass shelf sit above a semi-circular preparation area, which has a convenient lip to prevent your drinks sliding off.
This superb piece of mid-century Scandinavian design comes in very good to excellent vintage condition with a near mint carcass and interior, and just a little foxing to the original mirror.
