An original 1948 London Olympic Games participation medal, cast in bronze.
Depicting a view of the Palace of Westminster above XIV OLMPIAD LONDON 1948 and the five Olympic rings, and a victorious charioteer in a quadriga on the reverse.
Designed by Bertram Mackennal and executed by J.R Pinches Ltd of London, it comes in excellent vintage condition with a perfect patina!
