An interesting early 20th Century spherical box…
Produced by Teofani & Co of Old Bond Street, London, it’s constructed from solid oak and was originally designed to hold tea or tobacco.
The lid flips open on a nicely patinaed brass hinge, revealing remnants of its original gold manufacture’s label.
Standing on 4 metal orb feet, it comes In good, clean vintage condition… and is extremely tactile!
