A super sleek set of six Danish dining chairs… in teak!
Sharp angles meet flowing curves in this beautiful and distinctive ‘ribbon back’ design.
Often attributed to Kai Kristiansen or Swedish furniture producer, Dux, I believe these chairs are actually a design by P. Kirkegaard for Hong Stolefabrik, and are known as the ‘Model 26’ chair.
I’ve researched an official document in which Kristiansen actually rejects this as one of his designs, and I believe the Dux association is due to the company importing these chairs during 1960s.
The internet is a hive of misinformation and I’m keen not to add to this where possible! So if you have further knowledge on this awesome design then do feel free to contact me!
These beauties are completely sturdy and in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of wear to the frames, and newly upholstered in a quality black leatherette.
