A beautifully made early 20th Century spherical box…
Produced by Teofani & Co of Old Bond Street, London, it’s constructed from solid oak and was originally designed to hold tea or tobacco.
The lid flips open on a nicely patinaed brass hinge to reveal a removable tin insert.
Standing on 4 metal orb feet, it comes In excellent, clean vintage condition… and is extremely tactile!

I’ve only owned two of these scarce little boxes before… one came with remnants of its original Teofani label, and the other I gifted to my father for Christmas!
This lovely example is the first I’ve seen with its original tin insert.
*Box in excellent vintage condition, original tin lining is clean with some signs of wear.
