Description
The fairest of them all?
Well it’s certainly one of my all time favourite mirror designs, with that flowing teak frame and exposed joinery detail to each corner…
Designed by Kai Kristiansen and produced in the 1960s by high-end Danish furniture maker, Aksel Kjersgaard, these top quality mirrors came in a variety of sizes, but always with that generous and highly distinctive frame.
Kristiansen collaborated with Askel Kjersgaard on a number of different mirror and furniture designs throughout the 1950s & 1960s, and is one of the most respected names in 20th Century Scandinavian design.
He also worked with other top furniture makers of the day, including Fritz Hansen.
This sculpted teak gem comes in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age, a crystal clear mirror plate, and complete with its Danish Furniture Manufacturers’ Association label still attached to the reverse.
