An elegant 1960s Danish side table, designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen.
A beautiful lipped table top ‘floats’ on slender tapered legs, and is mirrored by a cane shelf beneath.
Arne Hovmand-Olsen’s creations were characterised by clean lines, organic curves and the use of luxury tropical hardwoods such as rosewood, and as with this piece, teak.
His designs were manufactured by some of the top Danish furniture producers of the day, and retailed through high-end department stores in both Europe and the US.
This fine example of his work comes in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age and an undamaged cane shelf.
