This ultra stylish 1960s teak coffee table was conceived by revered Danish designer, Arne Hovmand-Olsen, and produced by high-end furniture maker, Mogens Kold.
A surfboard table top ‘floats’ on slender tapered legs, and is mirrored by a generous cane shelf beneath.
The top is inset with a modernist mosaic tiled section, to keep your coffee cups off those plush teak veneers!
Arne Hovmand-Olsen’s creations were characterised by clean lines, organic curves and the use of luxury tropical hardwoods such as rosewood and teak.
His designs were manufactured by some of the top Danish furniture producers of the day, and retailed through high-end department stores in both Europe and the US.
This fine example of his work comes in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of use, an undamaged cane shelf, and complete with its manufacturer’s tag on the underside.
